Gmail search operators to find Emails without labels

Gmail labels are incredibly useful for keeping your inbox tidy and organized. However, with time, emails might find their way into the digital archive nirvana. Yet, to bring them back to life, all it takes is a swift custom search.

Based on my personal experience, I’ve found that disabling the conversation view in Gmail tends to provide more reliable search results:

Open Gmail >> in the top right corner, click on the gear symbol >> See all settings >> scroll to Conversation View >> select Conversation view off > click on Save Changes

For the search itself, just enter the following string and hit enter (or click here):

-in:inbox -in:sent -in:draft -has:userlabels
Gmail No Label Search
The search result shows emails in Gmail that have no label assigned.
